| LOCATION: |
AUSTRALIA |
| PROJECT DESCRIPTION: |
One of the premiere private clubs in Australia. Mounting of an Olympic sized swimming pool near a formal dining area and a full use gymnasium floor over a meeting area. The gymnasium had free weights, treadmills, running track, stationary bicycles and a heavy punching bag as part of this facility. |
| TYPE OF MOUNT USED: |
Self leveling air springs |
| MOUNT NATURAL FREQUENCY: |
2.5 Hz. |
| MAXIMUM DESIGN LOAD ON A SINGLE ISOLATOR: |
150,000 lbs. |
| UNUSUAL DESIGN CONDITIONS: |
The spaces for the mounts in the gymnasium area had to be made accessible by use of removable panels. The air spring leveling system must operate 1/16 inch under the swimming pool to prevent spill over. The leveling valves on the gymnasium had to have a 10 to 15 second time delay built in to avoid rocking resonance caused by heavy impact loads. |
